Start digging! (Now with pics)
Well boys and girls I'm on my way to another trip into that great Afghan desert for the next few months and will need something to help pass the time.
So ya'll can start digging through all your unwanted HotRod mags and send them my way. Any and all car/bike/truck and tattoo mags will help boost the morale of my team and hell me for that matter. So for now I will be sitting here in Manas Air Base and waiting for my plane to arrive. Here's my address: SSgt Joseph R. Gonzales CLB-7/EPT Unit# 41735 FPO-AP 96427-1735 (Camp Leatherneck) Thanks Viva Last edited by vivalahotrod; 06-08-2011 at 09:53 AM. |

Re: Start digging!
afghanistan! oh no! i went in feb '06 & just returned last thanksgiving! leatherneck is an ok fob. spent 3 weeks there. in case everyone doesn't know, there is a program called operation paperback where you can send any reading materials over seas to forward deployed areas. i can tell you if you have never been to a forward area then you don't know how bad you miss just simple stuff. no px, no wall mart, lots of fobs cell phones won't work. computer time at mwr is iffy at best. so the books & mags were a godsend. best of luck to you viva, and thanks!
andy p.s. practice good op sec. always remove the labels with your personal info like names, addresses & such from anything you send over there. the boogy man collects this info & passes it along to his associates so we don't want anything bad finding you or your family back home!
