1960-1972 Lowering Block U bolts

I have been reading countless posts concerning people not being able to get longer u bolts (at a reasonable price) when installing lowering blocks for the 60-72 Rear truck arm suspensions. Yes, we all know , if you can find a big truck spring shop, you can get a set made, as long as you know the size, length width etc. We've been stocking these so I figured I'd offer them to members. You get the longer U-bolts to accommodate a 1"-2" block with washers and nuts for $14.95 each. These will fit in a USPS flat rate envelope anywhere in the US for $5.00 shipping. I also have solid blocks in 1" 1.5" and 2" sizes.

I can't say I've ever seen a 3" block in a truck arm application. I guess if there is enough call for it, I will start making them.

Thanks for offering up the U-bolts.
Like you said,... we get many members wanting them.
I'll send them your way, from now on.

3" block could run into posible scrub line problems ? Read somewhere 1.5 is the max with a 15" wheel

Definite scrub line issues unless running big diameter wheels. A 1.5" block on 15's is the safe limit. They're close, but as long as you don't sling the rubber off the rim & the u-bolts don't extend beyond nuts, you'll be ok.

That being said, I've seen more than one guy use 3" blocks w/o problems. It just seems to be an un-worthy risk.

Boris, what are you getting for the blocks?

Retail on them is $24pr for the 1" $32pr 1.5"
2" are $38pr. I will probably run a April special for U bolts, blocks, and hardware.

Re: 1960-1972 Lowering Block U bolts

I am looking to lowering my 72' C10 with 2" lowering blocks; Lowering block u-bolts, adjustable panhard bar and a pair of shock relocators.

I already have 3 inch lowered springs. I don't want to c-notch.

Please let me know when you are offering the packaged deal.

Thanks,

Frank

I need a set of 2" block U-Bolts (only the bolts, not the blocks. I stripped an end on mine).
Can you send me payment info? I can pay by Paypal.
