Check out my new project!
So ive been hounding this guy for about a year now to let me buy this truck. He always had it under a tarp in hhis driveway and it got driven probably once every two weeks. He finally called me thursday and said "She needs a good home, Bring a pen to sign the title and $100, and shes yours".
Here is my newly aquired 1978 c10 Bonanza. Its got the heavy duty suspension, 350 motor, auto tranny, and VERY minimal rust. Everything in this truck works including lights, dimmer switch, radio, shifts amazing, fires right up and runs great, drives like a dream....you name it, it works. Im extremely stoked to give it some tlc and get it lookin good. Here she is Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us |

Thanks for the comments guys! my plans are to do a silver/black two tone, rebuild and build up that 350, just get it lookin clean and near brand new. Has anyone heard of these HD half tons? The leafs in the back are like 7 stacks high on each side and the sticker on the door says heavy duty suspension towing mirrors ect. and me and my dad tested the suspension out and put a quord of wood in the bed and it barely even squat and pulled it as if there was nothin back there. Just passed inspection today with flyin colors also. Ive driven fords all my life (I KNOW I KNOW!!) and this is my first chevy and im lovin it so far! |

Re: Check out my new project!
Divorces, money situations, or people "sick of dealing with the truck"
As bad as it may sound, taking full advantages of these situations is a way to get good deals. In my case, i guilt tripped him saying "it needs to be driven and back on the road and to someone who will treat it as you did" |

Discovered a squeel today coming from the water pump shaft. $16 at LPS, should get it in tomarrow. Gotta love the prices for parts on old pickup trucks!

Re: Check out my new project!
Unfortunately the PO disconnected the lines and took off the compressor for gas mileage reasons, But he gave it to me and it seems to be in working condition. Its on my loooong list of things to do.

I have a set of 31x10.50 tires on 15 inch wheels. Will they fit with no problems?
