Why Chrome Makes a Engine Run Better
At the speed shop I used to frequent, for various reasons, there was a guy who was going to have an engine built for him.
Well some of the parts are cheeper in chrome, so the builder (Gary at Maginum Supercharges MN) used the cheeper chrome parts. The Guy stopped buy while I was there and asked why he used so much chrome, well I, bieng the smart ass, told him it makes the engine run better........He looked at Gary, and Gary confirmed it..... He showed up next week with a few parts that he wanted Gary to use on his engine......Including a chromed block!!!! The whole block had been dipped.....inside and out........couldn't use it of course.....guy was a little pissed, he had spent $300 getting the block dipped!!!!!!! So chrome makes an engine run better...... As for the pink paint, that was just a standing shop joke. The Shop Car's name was Marry Kay...and yes it was painted Marry Kay pink.... oh and it was a 1986 Cammero Hatch Back that pulled a steady (with Gary driving) 10.48 quarter mile on 92 octane pump gas... 650 horse and 650 Torque at the crank...(values are apox...) oh yeah one of the personalities (not 10) showed up after I rode in Marry Kay.......front end came 6" off the ground when we took off...and there it was sitting right under my but, all soft and warm...........lol

Chrome muffler bearings actually rotate at a faster rate thus increasing the actual flow rate. I saw a set on ebay last week I think I'm gonna grab me a pair. They sound sweet!! Now if I could only get my balls chromed I could have more high performance Se%

It has nothing to do with my work.....it has to do more with the fact that the last accident I was in had to do with his ability to correct a skid after hitting a small patch of black ice........he kinda forgot he had a limited slip rear end, threw us accross three lanes of trafic, turned us about 165 degrees (so not quite facing the wrong way....) so we were skidding backwards, then a 10 tone 40' flatbed with 2 full size forklifts on hit us......
Air bags kinda feel like bieng hit with a 200mph feather pillow..... and I did underestimate the power vs body wieght ratio....it does 0-80 in about 5 seconds....no quarter time yet, haven't talked him into going to the track.....
