blazer tub tippers/cart
I have had a couple people ask me about these so i figured i would post some pics and measurements. This idea came from a pic i saw on here but i dont remember the user to give them credit. These are made from some scrap stock i had. The bottom part of the "L" is 3x3" square tubing. The stuff i have is from a grocery store shelve support it is very rigid but only 3/16" or so wall thickness. The side of the "L" is 1x2" tubing. The casters are from harbor freight and have about a 4" wheel. The tubes that the tub sits on are exhaust pipe. I used a cherry picker hooked with a nylon strap to tip it up. You will want a couple helpers to slow it from tipping to fast once the weight shifts.

Re: blazer tub tippers/cart
Can you explain the "exhaust tubing" part and how the tub connects to that?

Re: blazer tub tippers/cart
I wish i had taken more pics when i had the tub mounted on them. The exhaust tubing is a spacer so the body does not contact the "L" frame and sits level. It is welded to the "L" so it does not flex to much. I bought some threaded rod to attach the tippers to the tub it goes through the "L" frame and exhaust tubing into the body mount holes on the tub.

Re: blazer tub tippers/cart
Your build is very impressive! I like it. What is going on in picture above though? I don't see your L supports? How is the tub being held up right here? (are you Luke Skywalker? )

Re: blazer tub tippers/cart
this was a bit tricky. I took them off to paint. the front of the tub is on wood blocks under the "A" pillar (where the door hinges mount) and the rear you can see a board in the pic you posted that goes from the floor up to the area where the tailgate hinge would be. I also had a ratchet strap from the tub to a wall across the top to keep it stable. Thanks for the complement. Hope this helps.
