700R4 guys, clearances? how tight?
how tight does it fit in a low hump cab? anyone have one in withte motor inthe I-6 location? just curious how tence it will be in there

I don't have one in a low-hump, but it's not really bigger than a T-350. It's longer, but not really bigger. I'd bet it would fit fine. Especially if you move your engine forward to avoid cutting the driveshaft...

I have one in a low-hump, but the V8 is in the original V8 position...it worked great for me, I don't recall having to clearance anything...

There is no problem putting a 700r4 in a low hump cab.
If this picture attachment works, you can see that it is not any bigger than a 350 or 400 tranny.

no one knows if its in the I-6 location thought? front to back in the hump area no problems at all?

mine's in the 6 location. there's a lip under there that i hadta bend a little bit cuz it was gonna hit (low hump cab)

You will have no problem installing a 700R4 The case of the 700R4 is the same size as a 350T You may have to relocate your tranny crossmember

You'll have clearance issues mounting it in the I-6 location. The pic below shows where it'll hit the hump. I fixed this problem by shortening my motor mount stands. That solved the problem, plus pulled the distributor away from the firewall slightly so there is no HEI-to-firewall interference

I glad you started this thread. I thought I had mine engine (350) in the V8 postition, and I have not yet tighted my cab mounts, and my cab is touching the 700r4 tranny. Is it possible that the rear tranny mount is taller then what is used for the 350turbo???
