Classic Bed Rails
I'm looking for the old classic bed rails for my truck
They are called: SIDE BED RAILS, CLASSIC, 90" LONG, WOOD GRAIN INSERT -- Durable Die Cast End Stanchions And Heavy Duty Aluminum Rails. Any one knows where could I find them (New or Used but in good condition) Thanks |

Re: Classic Bed Rails
Welcome to the forum ZO603. In a recent post discussing these style rails, I think it was determined that those were a dealer installed option. Where have you looked so far?

Re: Classic Bed Rails
Looking at them I believe you could get away with a roof rack from an old station wagon, they look like what was on my parents town and country wagon back in the 70's

Re: Classic Bed Rails
my cousin just parted out a 88 suburban that had a roof rack that had the woodgrain inserts. I thought of bed rails when I seen them, I don't know how long they were.

Re: Classic Bed Rails
Thank you N2TRUX, Eyegore, ozark
I googled it and contacted some of the online GM sellers. No one has it Perrycraft used to produce them and they discontinued them back in 2005 and they told me nor the distributors have them. I believe I could find them used, that’s why I'm trying here The old suburban roof rack is similar BUT it is shorter. I'm looking for the 90" Long. |

Re: Classic Bed Rails
They were available as an RPO .....D73
Cost was $79.00 in 1980 They were also available as a service part. New old stock sets turn up on ebay for 300.00 to 800.00 Used sets are still around ...I have seen them on trucks in the wreckers I have a complete set that we took off a new truck in 1981 but I am keeping them to put on my 80 if we take the canopy off |
