Re: lowering a 1970 c20 with leaf springs
You can move the spring from over the axle to under it. You will need to weld on new spring perches and shock mounts. Should give about 5-6" of drop. Longer shackles are also an option, but you can't go as far.

Re: lowering a 1970 c20 with leaf springs
i was thinking of doing that, but i should of got smaller tire size so that i can drop the front as well. because if i flip the leafs i think the back will be lower from the front.

About the only other option would be to remove some leafs from the rear spring packs. Trial and error. You can also de-arch the springs, but that is something I have heard of but not tried.

Re: lowering a 1970 c20 with leaf springs
You can remove a few leaves leafs ( sp?) to get it down a few inches. i had a 75 heavy half that had 8 leafs and i removed 4 of them and got about 3 inches of drop out of it. just dont remove all but one unless you like axle wrap and wheel hop, yuck !. looks good with that big block under the hood! wanna trade it for my 283 ?
