How can I put 13" rotors on a non-2" drop spindle?
I would like to put a 13" rotor on my truck but the only choice I have is to run a cpp 2" drop spindle. I do not want to drop the truck 2". Any ideas?
Does anyone make an aftermarket spindle that you can add bigger rotors?

There is no kit I am aware of, but knowing a few things about GM's parts bin interchange will allow a pretty easy upgrade. GMC and Chevy trucks, starting in 1981, offered a light duty (LD) brake setup on half ton trucks. This was simply a B-body (Caprice, Impala, Roadmaster, Fleetwood) rotor and caliper setup on a car-sized spindle. The rotors measure 1" thick, as opposed to the heavy duty (HD) truck rotors, which are 1.25".
Check out this website. You can use his hubs (or mill your own out of rotors) and brackets to bolt C4 HD (13") rotors and C5 calipers or brackets to bolt C5 (12.8") rotors and C5 calipers to a stock (or dropped) LIGHT DUTY truck spindle. Possibly save a little money by sourcing a pair of 98-02 F-body (Camaro/Firebird) front calipers, which mount exactly the same as the C5 Corvette calipers, just are cast by a different process and don't say 'Corvette' on them. For gee-wiz sake- if you're using the LD spindle, there is also an easy way to convert to 5x4.75 bolt pattern, as the 82-92 Camaro 1LE brake upgrade was just the B-body spindle with the big car rotor drilled with the small car bolt pattern... Back to your original question- you're looking at: Hubs - $140 Brackets - $75 Calipers(C5) - $216 ($108 each, w/ brackets, at rockauto.com) Calipers(F-body) - $120 ($60 each at rockauto.com) *will still need C5 caliper abutment brackets 12455799, $50 each* Rotors(C5) - $84 ($42 each at rockauto.com) Rotors(C4) - $100 ($50 each at rocakauto.com) $515 using all C5 parts and $530 with C4 rotors. This is assuming you have the LD spindles already and using all new or reman parts. Plenty could be saved by picking up gently used pieces on eBay, forums, Craigslist or at the pick-and-pull, or with better deals than rockauto offers on new stuff...

KORE-3 has a C10 kit that works w/stock or dropped spindles (you modify your own spindles).
