Re: Nos clock

That's a really nice piece and I'll bet you'll get more conversations started by someone seeing that then you can imagine.

Re: Nos clock

Wow, that looks great, but WAY to rich for my blood. I was *****ing the other day about spending $30 on a retrofit.

Re: Nos clock

Good for you. That's an outstanding looking piece. I think anyone interested in this series of truck will notice it (and ask about it) right off the bat.

Re: Nos clock

The base that's mounted on the clock is for Corvair. There should be a tapering base for the truck as well included in the kit for the trucks. If you decide to change bases theres a disabled guy looking for the right base on STOVEBOLT.com. Good price on the clock, they usually sell above $500,00. I paid $85.00 for mine 24 years ago and thought I had overpaid back then. These clocks drain the battery if your truck is not a daily driver, might want to disconnect the connection at the battery if stored for an amout of time. They really click when their running especially mounted on the steel dash. You'll get a kick out of the dimentions for the mounting instructions, one measurement if I remember correctly is within a 64th of an inch. Great find and purchase, enjoy!

Ford products came with the same clock with a different mount.

Re: Nos clock

concur with Aerotruk - the originals are crazy $$$. I met an old guy in at booth a Fall Carlisle PA last year, he had a buttload of 60-66 C10 stuff. I even bought an auto column from him. But when he pulled this thing out of a special box, you'd have thought he was getting ready to show me the map to Curly's gold... but it was an original, in the box, C10 clock. He would not take a penny less than $700... I almost sharted. Then I left.

Re: Nos clock

Where did they go? Does anyone have a pic of the clock installed in its intended location.

Re: Nos clock

They mount in the center of the dash in front of the speaker grill right where the curve starts on its vertical drop.

Re: Nos clock

Hey LT1, I geeked and forgot to bid on that clock. It was on my watch list and I intended to bid late in the game. When the auction went off (ended) I was on my back in the driveway painting the bottom of my boat and I spaced the time. I came in, checked the auction, and it had ended about ten minutes previous. Then I saw the price ... WHAT?? COME ON!! @#$%!
Too many projects, I guess. Anyway, good for you.
I wonder if the price was a fluke, or an indicator of adjustment per the economy?

Re: Nos clock

I forgot all about it also as I had bid on the first day and never intended to get it for that. I was surprised I had won it, I have lost more than I can remember by forgetting to bid though.

Re: Nos clock

You guys still bid by hand? I set it and forget it. Set a snipe price and it bids 6 seconds before close. Win some, lose some, but never forget and never overpay.

I need to find me a clock still.
