Re: looking for 67-72 gmc long bed stepside !!!
They are the uncommon one...all LWB Stepsides, especially the Fendersides. If it doesn't matter that it's factory original, you can buy all the parts to build a Fenderside and slap it on any common LWB Wideside.

But the guy who is selling it is straight up not beinig honest in the add, how do I know, because I am the one who rebuilt that truck and he didnt pull anything out of a junk yard. He drove it out of my driveway....And he only paid 2300 for it and whined and cried about what I was selling it for and since he was a Soldier too, I let him have it for a cheaper price, then turns around and advertises for that much. No integrity, sad thing is he is suppose to set the example for younger Soldiers, some example...... Its a good truck, its in NC. Has alot of rust in it, but mechanically solid. Be warned..... Smitty

Theres one for sale here in Fayetteville at a used car lot on Honeycutt. I see it on my way to work everyday. Its a GMC long bed/step side. Dark blue. If your serious I can stop and take pictures and get some information for you. It's been there about a month.

Welcome to the forum. I spent a week in Doha on business several years ago. It was my first trip to the Middle East and a great experience.
You can easily run nation wide searches of Craigslist with Search Tempest. Good luck.

Re: looking for 67-72 gmc long bed stepside !!!
I have seen a few long steppers around in northern IL for sale, but most have the steps and fenders rusted out.
Like said before the steps are the hardest to find and if it has a factory spare tire mount on the side of the bed the fender is about impossible to find if its rusted. I also have never seen a GMC long stepper, do not doubt they made them. My dad scored a 69 Chevrolet long stepper for $550 3 weeks ago ![]()

Judging from the photos it's a three speed column shift manual.

Re: looking for 67-72 gmc long bed stepside !!!
Gotta love the long steppers. That's what got me into these trucks. My grandfather had a C20 longbed stepside on his farm. It was rusty and beat up. When he died we brought it home to my dad's farm and my brother and I got it running again. We would use it around there to haul brush and stuff. Eventually my dad sold it. Would love to see where it is now. Good luck with your search.

Re: looking for 67-72 gmc long bed stepside !!!
I think it could be had for around $900. The guy didn't seem to firm on price. You wont find a running C10 for much cheaper than that. It is definately going to need alot of work to be a nice truck though. It is a 3 speed on the column and it was originally a I6 truck. I think the guy said it has a 350 in there now.

Re: looking for 67-72 gmc long bed stepside !!!
Ok, now I´m asking for Help myself.... I am also looking for a long bed stepside, BUT GMC would be prefered over Chevy and to make it even harder, I want a K2500, so 3/4ton 4x4 with the spare tire mount on the drivers side and a manual tranny.
I know that is about as impossible to find as it gets, but in the north east, everything is rusted out... So if anyone has a truck like that or sees one PLEASE let me know! I would even spend some serious cash on one if I would find one!!! Thanks guys!

Re: looking for 67-72 gmc long bed stepside !!!
This is a fairly old thread but if you're not too set on original, then you mmight look at Chevy's also. The front sheetmetal and tailgate can be swapped.LWB fleets can have a stepper bed installed.Just depends on how much work youwant to do and how important original is to you.

I´ve been thinking about doing this, BUT the truck might end up in Europe, Germany to be more exact and there, to get a historic registration everything needs to be original.. you change anything and it won´t qualify as a historic truck... That´s why I´d love to find the exact one I want.. I know that is going to be hard.... ![]()

K20Chevy - I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but I found it while crusing Craigslist over the weekend... http://reno.craigslist.org/cto/3527911244.html. It's a Chevy C10, but is restored and has the spare tire mount. Not sure about the tranny. Good luck!
