66 shifter hump

I have a 66 that had a 4 speed. I have installed a big block with a th400 trans. I would like to have a lower hump what can I do. Please post pictures if you have them.

If you have a donor truck w/a small hump they can be swapped but its not easy. Welder is required. I did it several years ago on my burb-you need the front piece up on the firewall also.

in one pic you can see I had sheetmetal screws holding it in place, then I spot welded it all in place-once done it looks like it came that way-much more footroom also. My burb was 4 speed OEM, its 700r4 now.

the large hump bolted in the small hump is built in.....little harder to change.

Some of the low hump covers were bolted in just like the large hump covers.

Do you know what year truck the bolt in low hump are in. I would realy like to find one.

As far as I know they were available in all years from '60-'66. I believe they were in the trucks with the 3 OTT?

I also found a low hump in a big truck with the allison(?) large 5 speed trans... did have the shifter hole, but thats an easy fix.. nice thing about that one, was the entire thing was bolt in , hump, and front panel..
seems like all the 60-63 1/2 ton 3 OT trucks were bolt in...
most of the 456 lows I have seen are welded, but I have seen pics of a 456 bolt in low....
