Stock harness send off protocol
Guys,
I have my factory GM harness for my 8.1l and all the parts the tuner is asking for finally ready to ship out. My question is when you guys have sent yours out, did you clean it up first? How? Car wash and degreaser? Mine isn't terrible, but I don't know if I would be to thrilled opening a box with a harness that I had to wash my hands just from un-boxing it. I also don't want to damage it by blasting it at the local car wash. What did you guys do to yours before you sent out? Thanks for the help! . |

I'd just wipe it down with some rags and simple green. By the time they get it apart their hands are going to be covered in tape residue anyway.

x2, the electrical tape tar doesn't like to come off. Just give it a wipe and/or a blow with some compressed air to get the leaves/dust out.

Re: Stock harness send off protocol
Thanks guys! I appreciate the help. We got it cleaned up a little and at least presentable last night. I got an email from the guy doing it for me and he said basically what you guys said. But I feel better not sending out something that was so dirty.
