rust remover & flip kit ??

What is the chemical that is being used to remove rust? Have seen some post with somthing from the eastwood company. Anyone know the name of it?

I picked up a flip kit that a friend had laying around. He never used it. Question is, Does the offset hole go to the front of the leaf or the rear? What is the distance for the offset hole that needs to be drilled in the stock spring plate. thanks

The flipkit perch is to move the axle back about 3/4 to 1". Figure out how far back your disign is and the plate should be the same. Put up a pic of the parts you have I'm sure someone here will have the same one for a bit more guidence.

There was a post earlier about Pepsi to stop rust but most trucks won't fit in a 48 oz bottle

A good product for removing rust is Milkstone Acid. You can buy it at Atwoods or I think Tractor Supply may carry it. It's cheap and works great.

Re: rust remover & flip kit ??

after reading on the eastwood web site, i thinks it the fast etch. Anyone ever used it? As far as the flip kit, the block looks like all the rest ive looked at. the hole is not centered in the top. Just wanted to make sure i put the offset in right. The hole to the back is what i was thinking. Tried to find a install sheet on one, but was unable to find on.

Hard to put into words sometimes. What your looking to do when installing the flipkit is move the axle back. This is done to allow more room for he drive shaft when the axle is moved to the top of the spring.
