Factory Tach Stopped Working
I have an 87 K10 with what looks to me to be a factory tach. The other days randomly while driving the tach stopped working and is stuck at 4500 rpms. The truck is kind of a Frankenstein as the cab anyway was orignaly a 6 cyl and now is surely not. Axles are Danna 44 8 lug front and FF 14 bolt rear, seems like Blazer buckets and center console. I didnt do any of the work to the truck so i'm at a loss as to finding out whats what. All i know is the tach it has in it worked one day and doesnt today. Any particular things to check? Thanks!

Re: Factory Tach Stopped Working
Check the easy stuff first, make sure it did't come unplugged from the distributor and make sure it hasn't lost ground. I added mine, so maybe somebody else can tell you if it's on a fuse. Where did it usually stop when you turned off the key?
