4l80e wiring question.
I need help, harness and trans are from a 2000 yukon XL 2500 on the trans there is a neutral safety switch, on this "NSS" There are Two connectors. (which are ****ing GLUED in) why do they glue them? 3 harnesses I have done up were all glued! Anyway, the bottom connector has Four wires. BLK/WHT, WHT, YEL, GRY. These wires are from the neutral park switch to the PCM. the top connector has ~6 wires 2 PINK 1 PPL/WHT 2 LHT GRN 1 BLK WHERE DO THESE GO? These wires don't go to the PCM they went into the cab. I have searched tech with no luck. one should be a TCC to brake pedal? or does the TCC come from pin 33 brake switch on the blue connector?

Re: 4l80e wiring question.
I had a custom harness made for mine, so I'm not sure which wire is which; but I can tell you that my harness eliminated a handful of the wires that went to the cab. Those were for the PRNDL indicator on the dash.

Re: 4l80e wiring question.
kinda hard to say without a wiring diagram in front of me, but what about the transfer case? I'm wondering if they went to the push button controller thing. Just an idea.
I also had a big funky connector that I believe went the the ABS module down near the tranny. |

Re: 4l80e wiring question.
The transfer case wiring was deleted already. I'm thinking it's reverse lights, gear selector stiff like that. I think of will delete them but I need to find what they are for first.

Re: 4l80e wiring question.
I have a 4l80e on my 7.4l Vortec in my 1968 gmc. I just pulled off the whole plastic switch off the transmission and got a kit from Lokar that attaches to the trans. It has a switch with this fork like part that will activate my reverse lights and my neurtral safety from the rod on my column shifter. Works great!
This what I got- http://www.streetperformance.com/par...3-bl1400u.html |

Re: 4l80e wiring question.
you don't need the nutral safety switch. if you are running an aftermarket shifter it should have a micro switch for back up lights. if you have somehow reworked the linkage to use the colum shift then use that switch also The main plug you need for the tranny is the round one and I think maby two little black ones but it has been awhile since I looked I know for a fact that i took the switch off the side of the tranny and chuncked it though. I run a b&m pro ratchet 4l80e
