low mileage Chevy military truck

(I know everybody wants pics, but I don't have any yet.) We really want to keep this truck as don't have alot of $ in it, but then again some extra $ would be nice...trying to decide if the profit would be worth getting rid of this truck that you don't come across that often:
Got a CUCV truck M1031, had the contact maintenance bed on it with the generator/welder in it. However the bed is now off & not going with the truck.
This truck has the T400 with 205 transfer & trac-lock in front axle.
Only 15k miles, cranks & runs great, everything works; no rust anywhere.
Only bad part is that it has ugly red paint on it cause was formerly given to a fire dept & the tires are old & not matching.
How much would you give for it like this?

Okay, if we put a nice LWB bed, matching set of descent tires on it & repainted the whole thing solid color, either olive drab or the desert tan, would you give any more for it? If so, how much?

Re: low mileage Chevy military truck

if you did all those things, you would only broaden your audience some. If it has bad tires on it, you need to replace because no one would buy it if they cant drive it.

Re: low mileage Chevy military truck

About $1K the way it sits, more with a bed, and a solid color/good tires. Check ebay under military vehicles. The price depends on area, rust free is worth more up north. Also gear ratio, 4.56 or 4.10.
