WIW 1968 C20 With Pullman Pamper
I just picked up this truck not long ago. 68 C20 almost all original. 327 4bl/400 trans, pw steering, pw brakes, working A/C, HO52 posi rear. Original 17" split wheels with good old school tires. Complete original pullman camper. When i went to look at it, i just wanted a truck. So i bought it thinking i would just turn it into what i want. But this truck has been a survivor and stayed mostly original. Until i swapped out the manifolds, exhaust, alt and bracket. Next would be the wheels, tires, and camper would have to go. I would rather not do that. Im starting to feel bad as is. I saved the parts i swapped out. I wanna get an idea of what the truck is worth if i just sell it and then i can just buy another old truck, or i can trade this truck to someone who wants the camper for another old truck.
I just put on new headers and 2 1/2" exhaust, new brake lines front and rear, new rear shocks, new alt bracket, new oil filter adapter, new plugs (delco), wires (8mm delphi) new cap&rotor (delco), fresh oil filter and coolant change, New summit/holley 600 electric choke carb, new air filter, new fuel filter, new rear shocks. The parts that are not original are the Stereo, alt and bracket, carb, distributor (hei now), put in a oil filter adapter to fit with the headers, and Manifolds (now headers). I have the original manifolds (both cracked) the original rebuilt large 62 amp gen/alt and bracket, and i have the original canister filter setup. The truck has about 150,000 mi on it. I have it tuned up, its running and driving good. It has real good oil pressure and doesnt run hot at all! All exterior lights work, dome light works, but inside camper lights and dash light dont work. its got a older sony radio and speakers under the seat. With the new shocks it rides nice. It does pull alittle right though. Its got 3 tanks with working senders in all 3. But the 2 extra tanks have not been used in 5 years so they would need to be cleaned out before used. They both have gas in them. The truck came out of cali. But spent the last 12 years in Elgin,il. It has had a crappy paint job. But looks like the original color. It does have some rust and bubbles in the paint. You can see in the pics. The floors are nice cab and bed. But the edges of the cab floors by the rockers are bad, rockers inner and outer are bad, door seals are bad, all 4 cab supports need replaced. The frame is nice and solid front to back! I bought new inner and outer rockers, and door seals for the truck just not installed. The truck does need some work to make it nice. But as is its a good driver truck! And needs nothing to be a driver! Im using it now as a driver! So what do you guys think this truck is worth in this market now sell or trade? |

Re: WIW 1968 C20 With Pullman Pamper
So i listed the truck on Ebay for a 7 day listing. I had just under 1000 views and 42 watchers. I started the auction at $2400 and ended with no bids. I thought the truck would be worth around $2500 or so. Im gonna try one more time to see what happens. Maybe ill start the bidding at .99 and put a reserve on it.
