this has got to be a paypal scam...
Got this email today after I replied to an email saying this person was interested in an engine i am selling.. after seeing that he has already used 3 different email addresses , I think
I will pass. Thanks for the prompt response to my mail, I am a Marine Engineer, I am at sea right now. I am buying this for my personal use so am willing to offer you the amount you required.(I don't have internet banking with it), but i have it attached to my PayPal account, and this is why i insisted on using PayPal to pay, All i will need is your PayPal email address so that i can expedite the payment asap, and if you don't have a PayPal account yet, you can set one up at www.PayPal.com it can't take you less than 3mins to do that, I will be expecting your PayPal email so l can expedite the payment at once. I have a pick up agent that will come for the pick up after payments has been sorted. l will be waiting for your reply asap. please include your final price for the listing. Best Wishes Mark. Seems like paypal will refund money for any reason at all so I think this one is a no go .... |

DO NOT SEND HIM YOUR PAYPAL ADDRESS
this is a scam, they have you send your email address, they send you a payment email with a link, when you click the link it is a fake site that looks just like a paypal login page. They will now have your paypal password and will start sending themselves money. Its a scam. For goodness sake google any part of that paragraph.

Yeah , it's not my first day getting emails like this one ... It was a big REDFLAG when he didnt want to talk me down or see it .I have a friend that was dating a girl that did one of the scams where you send money in response to getting a money order for thousands of dollars......... she did time in jail for it cause she could not pay the bank for the money she lost..

It's a SCAM. They're usually very vague in their description & pricing. Like "the item" and "the amount listed" .. etc. Got a few of those when I was selling my '82 Jeep.

Sounds awfully similar to the ones in this recent thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=478954
