Brothers Dash
Finally got my Brothers Dash for my 1985 K20. Took 5 weeks. Hope it installs without too much triming. Bought this dash because the frame was metal and the price was reasonable @ $269. It is too darn hot right now in Nashville to install right now. Will post more pictures of the installation. Here are some pictures:

Re: Brothers Dash
I know what a joke. Ordered it July 13 and got it yesterday August 24th. I had to keep calling to see what the status of the order was. Never did get an email when it shipped. Customer communication was not a strong point of my purchasing experience.

Re: Brothers Dash
Is it steel or aluminum? Because I know the one I got from performance restoration was aluminum. Check it with a magnet.

Re: Brothers Dash
Mine went in great. Just those F%^&$# clips, but they are a pain with any of the pads, OEM or aftermarket. I had to do no trimming on mine at all. I have to go back and replace the trim piece with an unbroken one this weekend.

Re: Brothers Dash
Real curious to see how easy this goes in and how it looks when it's done. I need a new one myself...

Re: Brothers Dash
The dash from Classic Industries used a plastic frame. The Brothers used metal. I watched the Classic Industries tread and was going to purchase that one until I found the Brothers one. Really liked that the Brothers one was metal like the OEM one. Time will tell if it fits well. Maybe it will cool down in a couple of weeks and I can get started on the installation. Will post pictures on the complete installation.

Re: Brothers Dash
Pal - does your Brother's dash have any dips or puffs in it when it is installed?
In your pic it looks like there are some dips around the openings toward the front, or is than an optical illusion? My complaint with the caps is that they puff up and dip since they are not attached firmly to the dash. I wonder if an upholstery shop can just strip an existing dash to bare metal and install new foam and vinyl and get a good result? |

Re: Brothers Dash
Sorry but do you have any pictures of how the clips go on? I got mine from Classic a couple of months ago but until the bodywork is done I'm not going to assemble the interior.....and I have no idea how the clips go on...the one's provided don't look anything like the old ones so I'm lost...
Thanks

Re: Brothers Dash
Yes. I took some pictures of how to put in the clips. I will upload them. You kind of put them in sideways and then rotate them into place.

Re: Brothers Dash
You place the clip into the slot. Then you start to turn it counter clockwise. It kind of snaps in when you get it right. Mine when in easy once I figured it out.
