Raise a 66 GMC 2wd?
Do you suspension gurus have any knowledge if and how I can raise my 66 GMC truck. It is 2wd, and I don't wanna convert it to 4wd, just raise the ride height, or raise the body and frame from the wheels. Thanks for any help you can provide.

How much lift are you wanting?

Re: Raise a 66 GMC 2wd?
Big block springs will raise it some (~2" max).
For more than that, you could go the lift spindle route for 4" lift but it takes all the required 'swap' parts to use them (lift spindles for an 88-98 1/2 ton GM). They aren't cheap though....

Scoti, can you tell me exactly what I would have to buy with the lift spindles to make this happen.

88-98 brake hoses 88-98 wheel bearings 88-98 upper/lower BJ's 67-87 3/4 ton lower a-arms You might also need outer tie-rods too. I'd have to research (re-read) to be 100% sure on them. Some info & answers for you.... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=469743
