Re: my very first rebuild 66 gmc/chevrolet truck
You don't really need to post pictures, you just have to explain in great detail anything you want to know , HOWEVER, you'll have to describe everything that the part looks like, everything that surrounds it, everything that lays on the floor around what your describing, everything that we could see in your garage or driveway, everything that's in front of your neighbors house, describe your Dog, Kids and Wife or Girlfriend, your tools, your daily ride, the field you found the part in, the condition your driveways in,the weather that day, what the crack of your butt looks like leaning over the truck in the engine compartment described from a child's point of view if they were, or had, a camera to take pictures with. It might be easier for all concerned if you just took, and posted pictures, I'm just saying.

Re: my very first rebuild 66 gmc/chevrolet truck
Yeah guys heres a bit of the story. Here goes. She as sittin by our local dirt track wp motor speedway and me and my partner we going to a customers house when i spotted her. Ugly burgundy and mudded up to the max. She had miss match steel wheels and half flat tires. original old surface rotten wood bed floor. homemade wood gauge panel with decent gauges. caddy bucket seats homade console and arm rests. Under the hood a 350 with a 650 cfm holley. behind it a 2 speed powerglide. Ive always wanted one since my dad had a 66 chevy(much nicer) when i was a kid. so i talked to him for awhile and my dad helped me find things to get him down from 3 thousand to 2 thousand.... to be continued.

Re: my very first rebuild 66 gmc/chevrolet truck
Oh yes shes got chevy doors and hood so far. the original hood weighed more in mud and i didnt like that. also the doors were butchered up a nightmare. didnt even have gears or window tracks. Thankfully my dad sold me a 66 cab and clip for her for parts...

Re: my very first rebuild 66 gmc/chevrolet truck
i like it 2g's doesnt sound bad. i wish i had a fleetside, instead i have 2 gmc short steppers. at least your grill looks flippin sweet. and that bumper front bumper doesnt look bad either, it looks like a rear bumper but fits the truck nicely. do you know where its from?

Re: my very first rebuild 66 gmc/chevrolet truck
I had a bunch of pics of her when i first started. She was sporting a set of cheap used goodyears wrapped around some steel chrome plated smoothies. I may be getting them back and putting white walls on her soon though.Been wanting to go with a rat rod look. Always loved rat rods. wish i could photo shop her a little and get an idea or too...drawing it up takes me awhile.
