Truck options and such
Quick question, werent the Sierra Grande more optioned than the Sierra Classic? Or were you able to order either how you wanted? What is the difference between them? Ive been looking thru the posts, and another question I have is what grille came in a 78 GMC? I saw a 77 with the same grille, but a 79 had something different. I do know that LMC does not list the style of grille I have.

Re: Truck options and such
i'm very interested but don't have time to help.
You might try this site: http://brochures.slosh.com/ Looks like the hierachy is from highest to lowest: Sierra classic, high sierra, sierra grande, and sierra. Let us know how it goes. |

Re: Truck options and such
Great site, by what I can figure out,, it is sierra, sierra grande, high sierra, sierra classic. By looking at the pics, Sierra classics are the only ones that had the option door strap, and the classic and high sierra had the aluminum interior trim. Very interesting literature, and the grilles for the 78 are somewhat hard to come by. Now all I need to find is a sport rear bumper...
