What color wheels?
I was wondering what color combination would look best with the red and white paint job going on with my truck and with white walls im back and forth on two colors...i will end up running chrome trim rings and chrome bullet lug nuts so the trim ring should break up the tire and rim a little...
1. red rim 2. black rim 3. white rim (i thought this would be to much white but was a suggetion i got) 4. other color altogether i couldnt find a picture of red truck with a red rim for the first option so orange will have to do: black rim: or a white a lighter then this pic but red fender:

Re: What color wheels?
I voted black, but red would be good too.... factory color would have been red on your truck.

Re: What color wheels?
I really love the way the white-walls set off the body color wheels.
With that being said, I voted "other color".... Being a fella with base model paint, as opposed to custom or deluxe cab......with the chrome front end and trim .....I think white wheels (or trim matched) looks good. You sure chose a nice set of examples for yer poll, losthope.

Re: What color wheels?
here's an example of white wheels with a two tone truck like yours (that is not a white truck). Personally, I really like black wheels with a single color truck, and prefer white or body color with a two tone truck (i.e. white roof/trim).
Below my truck are a few other "trials" i did to help me decide (used an old spare that was decrepit and crumbling, rattle can bombed the wheels just to get an idea - the blue is only remotely close..., and even painted the crumbling black tire gloss black...). In the end, I pc'ed mine white (1st pic). I found it difficult to exactly match my lt blue with pc, so went with a close white to the roof. |

Re: What color wheels?
looks great man! i think it actually might look good with just the chrome bullet lugs and no trim rings...it would be easy to try at least before buying the rings...either way, i don't think you can go wrong

Re: What color wheels?
Just found these on Craigslist. The ad says '66 car. Think they'd fit our five lug wheels?

Re: What color wheels?
Cool thread! Just today I sold some crap and have the dough in my pocket to get my wheels. All along I've been thinking rally wheels and looked at a few on Craigslist. I just didn't see anything that I really wanted and started thinking steelies with dog-dishes. Please put up some pictures of caps that would be correct for my '67 C10. I'll go with black wheels, 8's up front and 10's in back (if I can find them).
