Parting out 82, CUSTOM PARTS
I also have a frame, Z'd 2", with KP technologies parallel 4-link, notched with bag mounts, I don't have any pics, but can get some on request. The rest of the parts have been shaved of door handles, drip rails, marker lights, taillights, gas door, etc. If it could be shaved, it was. The bed was hit long ago, not bad, and re-repaired professionally when I had all the body work done. The truck laid out on 22's, HARD, BEFORE the Z. I don't have the time or money to put it back together, and I have a baby coming, so the truck has to go. All the work was done by professional shops, no backyard customs. I am posting a few pics, and a link to a photobucket account to all of the pics. I am in the Central Florida area, pick up is definitely preferred on the big stuff. Prices are as follows, and are negotiable:
There are lots more pics on the photobucket, so please check them out! http://s37.photobucket.com/albums/e80/badblu97/ Hood: $100 Doors: $150/each, $250 both Cab: $350 no doors Fenders: $100 core support: $50 Bed: $600 Door panels: $350 Frame: $450 Fuel Cell, aluminum,10 gallon drag racing style: $130 Shipped, Continental US

Re: Parting out 82, CUSTOM PARTS
Please show me where your speaker pods are designed to be mounted. What years and where. What speakers are designed to fit 6 1/2" and 5 1/4" ??

Re: Parting out 82, CUSTOM PARTS
The pods are mounted on a door panel, and it is setup for two 6.5 and a tweeter per door. Let me know if you want more pics. These are custom door panels, and the pod is ready paint. the door panel itself is covered in a grey leather like vinyl, but that can easily be changed to match your truck. Thanks for looking!

Re: Parting out 82, CUSTOM PARTS
Quote:
#1) You're dealing with customized parts, meaning you need to find someone with the same vision as you who would want them. For example, personally, I'm not a fan of the shaved look, some guys are, some aren't, limits the audience for some items. [lessened your audience by a good deal - in the case of the bed, by an enormous amount] #2) These are BIG pieces meaning local-buyers for the most part. Doesn't make much sense to ship any of it. [even further lessened your audience] #3) Although you are very clear about people making offers, the prices are pretty high compared to a pull-a-part or swap meet of which there are many in the southeast. Not saying its not a fair value for what you invested, just high considering some of what is out there right now. #4) To many people the economy is still in the dumpster. Lots of people out of work are selling things undervalue, and many others are saving what extra cash they can due to uncertainty and want to keep some aside for just-in-case. Big ticket items like that are pretty low on the priority list of others right now... |
