lowering a 78 blazer ?

I have a 78 blazer with a c notch and a 1 in. lowering block but wanting to get it a little lower with the help of bags and a small step nothch, just rhe width of the frame .I did notch the rear crossmember for the driveshaft but now I see another crossmember half way up and can see the rub marks on the driveshaft. What can I do,I know I will have to do the back floor for the pumkin.I know is a different beast from a truck and not many parts to lower them .If need be can send to suspension section but I thought I would try this side first. If any build threads to look at would be nice.
