Looking an NOS gold bowtie for a Silverado grille. Looks like GM discontinued them a few months back and of course I need one now. Thanks

Had to do this at the body shop. We couldn't get the bow-tie for an 87 chevy van. We bought a bow-tie for an 88 chevy pickup and made it work. Looks okay.

Does it have to be NOS?

I have a nice original one on my grille now but the paint around the bowtie was chipping off and some slight pitting after 70k on it. I will try to paint it but if I could find a new one reasonably I want to replace it. I had bought nearly everything nos for this restoration several years ago but somehow I had never bought the grille emblem. I even have nos tutone paint stripe kits and correct gray edge Silverado side mouldings to go back on it so you could say it needs to be perfect and original.
Thanks!
