Wiring Questions.
Im wondering if anyone knows the average amps an average car stereo and speakers put out, i just recently put in a jvc head unit, and 2 6 inch coaxial speakers and im freaking out about reliability and safety as i always do cause im a perfectionist with my truck But, im just curious as to whether or not id be safe if i ran some lets just say 18 g for the system? I believe i ran a thicker wire but im just trying to be safe.
Thanks. |

Re: Wiring Questions.
You should be able to run the same gauge wire as the input wire on the unit, unless you have to run 20 feet of wire to feed it in which case going one size bigger should do the trick.

Re: Wiring Questions.
I usually run a lil bigger then that but I rather be on the safe side as well and have no issues. Do it and get it done right the first time ya know.
