Back for another go!

Hi All,
Back on the forum again after a lengthy absence......feels good to see the hobby is still thriving and the fever is still running high!
Lots of new members and sweet builds I've been missing out on.

I've been a diehard 67-72 fan for nearly 30 years and have the skinned knuckles and sore back to prove it! LOL!
Lately, I've moved into the 88-98 trucks (just a little) and haven't decided exactly what to do with my classic 67-72 stuff......
hoping to rekindle my interest in the "best damn trucks ever built."

I see some familiar names out there and more I'd like to get to know.

Re: Back for another go!

Hi Jayman68!

I love'em all......just have to decide where I need to focus the effort....
Just got done with the wife's '98 Tahoe, picked up a nice 2dr. 2WD '96 for myself and have a '93 X-cab K3500 that HAS to get done this winter for my work truck.
Somehow, I managed to aquire a slammed '93 SWB CrewCab 1/2T project along the way......it never ends LOL!.
As practical (read cheap and plentiful) as the 88-98 trucks are, I still love my '69 the most!
Just haven't done much with it lately.......hoping maybe coming back to the forum might light a fire under my butt.....

Re: Back for another go!

Had to hunt to see if I had any pics of the wife's Tahoe.....
Only shot I have is right after we got the engine back together.
I stuck my CrewCab rims on it for a couple days. She didn't like'em....

But, we did agree on chucking the running boards and the tow hooks, along with fitting a 2WD air dam and dropping it down with shackles and keys!
Nothing special, just a comfortable vacation rig.

Re: Back for another go!

My '96 2Dr. 2WD the day I brought it home. Rust free Texas truck.
Canned the cowboy nerf bars, and working on replacing those K-mart rims.
Other than that, it's an all original unmolested high option truck.
Which means............. I can't bring myself to modify it!

Re: Back for another go!

Getting ready to start on this one. Another rust-free Texas truck.
'93 big block C3500.
It isn't a K3500 yet, but there's a 6.5TD/NV4500 4WD conversion waiting for it, then it's off to the paint shop.

A couple of Crews waiting to get scattered out and reassembled into a SWB 1/2T..........I think I figured out a way to do it with all factory parts.

BTW, we're on a "white truck" kick this year!

Re: Back for another go!

And finally my '69............rolled it out for a bath and some sunshine. First time out of the building in 10 years. Man, I really need to do something with this thing!
