Shifter pics?
I put bucket seats from a 2001 F***d F150 in my truck and am about to purchase a center console/seat for in between them. The problem is, that I think the hurst shifter I have now will hit the seat in 2nd and 4th. So I'm looking for ideas to modify the one I have or an idea to make a custom one. Also, buying a new shifter that will work is also an option. So please post 'em if you got 'em.

The new Hurst bolt on 55-57 Chevy shift handle may do what you want. Part number 5388620, but they're not cheap:

Re: Shifter pics?
Thanks for the input Markeb01, you werent kidding ...lol
they aren't cheap considering there just a piece of chrome flat stock! I wonder if I could just cut mine and add a foreward facing curve at the bottom that would be hidden by the boot? That would move the shifter foreward enough, I think??

Can't help you with the shifter since I have an automatic in mine ....... BUT Tell me how hard it was to put the buckets from the F150 in your truck please??? I have a set of power buckets from an 01 sitting in the garage but the mounting rail isn't flat. What all did you have to do to make them work? Details and pictures would be appreciated.... |
