Getting read to sound damp my cab... any tips?
I couldn't spend $20+ on a "dynamat" roller and for what ever reason I could not find one in Home Depot. So after about an hour of walking around I settled for:
<-- roller for bed frame and some duct tape... I cant see any reason why it won't work just as good... I have my mat, heat gun, aluminum tape and my super custom roller... Anything that has helped anyone else or any advice before get sticker crazy..? .

Wear gloves! I learned the hard way and ended up with cut hands and adhesive under my nails. Kinda sucked.

Sweet, btw. They sell a water sealer for roofing at home improvement stores. Same idea as a dyno mat. I understand the 60 dollar roll gets as much done as 200 bucks of dyno mat. Good luck with the project.

cover only 25% of the panel you are applying it to, anything more does not yield any more sound dampning, dynomay is a HIGH frequency sound deadner not a low frequncy witch is engine and road noise etc..
thats why the demonstrate it with a high pitch bell, and they dont cover the whole bell either you notice

some pretty good stuff here http://downsouthbassproductions.com/at/ and on the pretty cost effective side of things, and the 25% things true but the more you have cant hurt.

I went with roadkill, got a good price from a buddy of a buddy. I have two full bulk kits so I have more than enough to cover. The 25% thing does make sense, but damn it looks cool when everyinch is covered... lol (until you put the carpet in)

As previously stated, second skin does have some great products. I have the whole floor of my cab covered in their sound deadener, and insulation.

Use a tennis ball to help press or form the sound deadener to curves that the roller can't quite get to.

Re: Getting read to sound damp my cab... any tips?
Anyone try the spray on stuff that comes in the gallon pails? I'd seen it on one of the TV hot rod shows, but I'm completely blanking on what it's called. I recall that it goes on the outside of the interior rather than the inside...
