Rear Suspension Flip Kits
I'm leaning heavy towards installing a flip kit on the rear of my '86. I looking to drop the rear 5" using a 4 leaf spring packet on each side and installing the DJM FK1024-LTD. Please correct me if I have this concept wrong. Shock extenders allow a person to use stock (OEM) shocks with a flip kit. If a person doesn't install the extenders then you have to use "drop shocks". Not sure I understand this fully. Any thoughts on this subject is greatly appreciated.

Re: Rear Suspension Flip Kits
Yes, you are correct. I highly recommend the shock extenders. Not only do they give you longer shock travel, they also improve the angle of the shock. The improved angle offers an improved ride and as well as eliminates clearance issues for some bolt in C-notches.

Re: Rear Suspension Flip Kits
You can also use stock front shocks on the rear with a flip.

Re: Rear Suspension Flip Kits
I tryed the front shock route and it didn't fit mine. Shock extentions are the way to go. I'd buy them next time around. I made mine and it cost me more. Live and learn.
