gauge of metal

My Mig welder tell me the thickness of metal by the gauge. I need to know the thickness in fractions of an inch. Like what is the gauge of metal that is 1/4 , 3/16 , of an inch. and so forth. Does anyone have a chart?

My first truck!! 1976 Chevy 3/4 ton Camper Special and a 1985 GMC body. Has a 350, 4 BBL Edelbrock, with a Turbo 350, and NP205 T-case.
