6.0 engines WIW?
What does a 6.0 engine usually sell for? The 350 in my 68 is shot and I'm still trying to figure if I want to go 402BB or go LSx. If I'm gonna go LS, I want to go ahead and go bigger. I'm not sure if I want to go 5.3 or not yet.

Re: 6.0 engines WIW?
402 drops in, bolts to tranny, change exhaust, off you go.
LSx, you need wiring, another tranny, PCM, headers, etc etc etc. I have looked into the LSx also, but i figure toss in the BB and go have some fun. O and btw, i see 6.0 all the time up here for $600 to $2500.

6.0 with all accesories should set you back $800 to $1700, depending on condition and luck.
LS will bolt to any trans and going from Small block to BB you need different headers as well. |

Re: 6.0 engines WIW?
Well, the 6.0 would be carbureted and hooked to a 700r4 trans.

Re: 6.0 engines WIW?
also if you cam the 6.0 that 700 might not last long. depends on how much meat is behind it and how well the 700 is built too

Re: 6.0 engines WIW?
just bought one last week up here they're $900-$100 motor only.....even if you ran it with a carb, the ls is a better choice....so much more poteincial to build horsepower.
