Wiring and transmission...

If i was to use a different transmission than the one that came with the motor, what has to be done to the wiring to make it work? My motor is a 2006, 5.3. For example, if i use a

a) 4l60e from a different year
b) 700-r4
c) turbo 400

is there a trans that's easier to make work with the 5.3 (other than the original)?

Re: Wiring and transmission...

4l60e will be fine, no issues.
TH400 need a different FW
700-r4, different FW

Might be a couple other little things but that is all you would need roughly. b4 you put a 700 in, use the 4l60e, same tranny just one is electronic.

400 will rob HP from the motor also, it is a HD tranny.

Re: Wiring and transmission...

The only 4L60E that will bolt right up with no mods is a "300MM" 4L60E.
