55 ad truck

can you swap an earlyer model grill like a 50 on the 55 ad. i just cant stand the 55 ad grill

Yes but you are going to need more than just the grill it's self plus the 54/55 fenders have a bump for lack of a better word for the park lights for those years.

You are going to need the grill, support behind the grill, apron below the grill, hood latch panel above the grill and maybe an early hood or at least the piece in the hood for the 47/53 hood latch. And maybe a couple of other pieces I missed.

But, if your 55 grill is good someone will probably offer enough for it to go a long ways towards putting in the early grill.

Yep, it's a bit more than just the grille itself - agree with mr 48. Only posting because I saw a truck recently that did this - and the way they got around the fender problems (i.e. the holes for the park lamps) was to actually mount the 54-55.1 park lights and bezels directly to the fenders (because the 53 and earlier grilles will leave these holes/bumps exposed) it didn't look half bad. Bet then again, I like the 54-55 grille better... Just mention as an option.
