sport rear bumper for 81-87 chevy question

I have a super clean 87 Chevy 1 ton 4x4 dually. I want to take the ugly chrome step bumper off and put a sport bumper on. My question is 1/2 ton brackets the same as 1 ton brackets? I found a guy who has a sport truck rear bumper that is suppose to be nice with brackets off a 1/2 ton truck. Whats the bumper worth? He wants $250. Is that too high for it? Let me know. Thanks

That is high lol. My sport bumpers cost me 40 dollars off of suburbans blazers and trucks etc... Used but nice still. You may as well buy a brand new one with a warrantee for that much

ya. I thought it was high too. I offered him $200 and I think he got mad lol. I guess I will hit the junkyards to look for one and buy some new brackets from one of the aftermarket vendors.

Sport bumpers and brackets are direct fit for all 1/2-3/4-1 tons.

The bumper and outer brackets are same as sub/blazer.
trucks have different inner brackets and splash pans.

$250.00 is getting up there ...but if it is complete and nice he will get it.

I paid $300.00 for a new take off sport bumper that was complete down to the correct color splash pans and original bolts ...and there were back up buyers that would take it if I didn't.....it came off a new dually the owner wanted a heavy steel checkerplate unit installed.
