question for Porter Built

Wondering why you guy's don't offer a plug and play kit yet for us budget guy's to make it easier to install and afford. Just a suggestion Brandon

I think the new mild kit will be as plug and play as it will get. I don't know that 'hand built' and budget go together so well.

don't get me wrong here I know Porter Built is nice stuff 110% but saw on airbagit.com they had a plug and play kit. Figured Nate might try to put something together with his stage 1 front and rear kit for members just a thought.

Airbagits 'plug & play kit' = generic sales pitch that may or may not be correct for what you need. Porterbuilt gets you the 'quote & parts list' after discussing what you have & what your goals are.

Mom & pop vs Walmart.... Big difference IMO. Don't be fooled by low-ball initial pricing w/o considering product quality along w/during & after sale customer service.

I spoke with Nate through email, then Dave called me and spoke at length about what I wanted. He talked it over with Nate and got back to me a week later with a quote and timeframe. A little more than $1500, but far from plug and pray.

ok can you put together a decent kit for $1500 or under using P/B stage 1 front and rear 67 C10 with 83 front clip and wanna go low as possible without any body mods besides c notch and spindles with bags. Just curious what you can come up with (picking your brain).

See my sig. C4 Porterbuilt front and rear with shockwaves. The front without shockwaves is less than $1500, or you could get a pair of shockwaves for under $1500, but a full C4, not counting the cost of Corvette will set you back about $5k with shockwaves.

I bought a whole '94 C4 to use as the drivetrain donor. Scoti has a C4 dropmember front waiting to be installed. I hope to have all my hardware by my birthday in Septeber.

Air bagging anything isn't cheap and cutting corners will come back to bite you.Airbagit is cheap because it is super cheap made stuff even the air bags they sell are off brand and i seen pictures of some the end caps blew off.If you can weld i believe nate sells a few front and rear kits as weld in cheaper then the bolt in ones.

My experience dealing with Porterbuilt (dave specifically) has been awesome. Real nice guy, and knowledgable about our trucks. Ran me thru several options, and helped me put together a kit of what I needed, and nothing I didn't. I love that Porterbuilt will sell each piece they make, individually.

My only gripe is that I'm impatient, and I want my parts yesterday, lol.

We are always trying to find ways to get the product out the door more quickly, without sacrificing the quality. We have just been so busy that our build times on larger orders are in the 4 week range, and we are doing pretty good at staying under 2 weeks on the smaller orders. Fortunately we have a bunch of good customers who will patiently (or impatiently) await their Porterbuit Goodies!

The Porterbuilt products really good quality..... They say, good things come to those who wait. Lol

We have a air ride kit that we put together using then Porterbuilt stage 1 components. You can get the kit linked below for $500 cheaper if you go with a 1/4" manual air management system vs. the Pro1 with the AccuAir valve. Same 380C VIAIR compressor.

Ditto on the quality front. I have never seen a complaint about Porterbuilt. Found out years ago about airbagit personally and from others, nothing good to say about them. Avoid it and you will be happier. Just look at their ads where they whine about being flamed on the S-10 forum. Who cries like that in their own ad? Where there's smoke, there's fire. Not worth your time. Do it right, or wait until you can.
