I would say LMC. I have ordered several things from them and very happy with what I got, Fast delivery and all.

Re: dash bezel

I've found two places that list chrome (Dreamers and Classic): Dreamers said their place isn't making it and Classic just told me it was on hold with no ETA.

Re: dash bezel

On my 63, I polished it. I believe they are made of potmetal, but it came out great and tied in with my polished gauge plate.
On my 66, I painted it. The main difference is that the 73 is a smooth bezel, and the 66 bezel is polished. I believe it is made of the same material though.
I remember once the paint is stripped off the bezel, it will need to be wetsanded, then buffed and polished.

I 'might' be an option for you though.

Re: dash bezel

They are not available.. The manufacture recalled them about a year ago for poor fit and finish. No eta on a replacement. You have to find a used one, powder coat, I would not have your bezel plated.... a lot of platers seem to have trouble plating pot metal. It tends to blister easy. You can also use spray chrome (not the kind in the spray can) It's a professional coating. (eastwood also sells something similar)

Re: dash bezel

I had my 63 bezel chrome plated with no problem. Alot of the OEM chevy parts are pot metal...fender emblems, hood emblems. I haven't had any problems with it blistering. Im told in chroming like most any process....the time is all in the prep.

Re: dash bezel

Cost me $40 3 years ago, but the guy closed down shop. There is a local plater here in town, but Id be afraid to ask...he wanted $400 per bumper which was too much for my budget.

Re: dash bezel

I called Classic Industries today to get an idea on when the back ordered bezel would be in. I was told that it would be a couple weeks out before they got it in.

Oddly... after I mentioned I had tried to order one from another supplier but it was canceled because they weren't in production anymore, I asked him "So, you say in about two weeks you'll be getting them in?" "Oh no, not two weeks but a couple weeks" "Uh ok" "Yea, it will still be awhile before we get them in".
