Aligning front
Finally putting my front sheet metal on. My front two fenders are from classic parts and are having a little hard time aligning them. i am trimming and making mounting holes bigger to get the proper fit. Can I get some pics of the front fender to grill support lines? I didn't get any pics of mine when I removed them. My right side lines up good but the left needs some work. The left side isn't completely bolted up.

That looks pretty good for aftermarket. Ive seen guys have BIG problems, so count yourself lucky. Did you still need pics?

Yes, I ant to see the correct gap spacing for the front. I want to match it as close as I can.

The after market tin, is going to create some issues. It took me about half a day to get all of my tine lined up.. ( factory stuff) there is another post from a guy in Ca that has some good pics. He is fighting every step of the way.
Cab mounts, rad support mounts, all make a huge change. I had to jack up the cab apply a bit of grease on the rubber, then slide the cab around a bit. Get the bumper in place as well.. I found that to get it to look correct I had to have it just a tad out of alignment with the bummper in place. The inners and front section needed to be shimmed. More so on one side than the other. I knew this was going to be an issue. So I mocked up everything first. then tok it back apart for jamming ( paint) then put it back to gether again. Much easier now then later once fully painted.

Thanks for the info. You pointed me in a good direction. I wasn't thinking about the cab and rad mounts. I have new ones on the core support but the old ones on the cab. I will orders some new ones today. The left fender fits tight with no shims but the right needs shims. I guess I will have to loosen everything up and start over.

Well being that all of it is bolted together the mounts change everything. Once you get that done. I would bolt the inners on and rad support. From there get the rad support to be in the center of the holes in the front of the frame. Once that is done mock up the tin, and bumper.

Did you have to make the mounting holes bigger for adjustment? I also had to trim the rear upper mount of the fender to get the top fender extensions to line up. I still need to do some finishing work. The bottom picture is the lower fender mount. I can't remember what was there to space it. What did you use? I just ordered the cab mounts so I should have them in a few days.
