1961 chevy crew cab for sale (on cl)
Saw this truck on Bend Oregon craigs list. I would do a link but I don't know how. You need to do a search under cars and trucks. He's asking $2800 would make a great project

it was listed not to long ago. I think that he was on a fishing trip then. said that he really didn't have to sell it so the price was firm.. he seems to have removed that now

Re: 1961 chevy crew cab for sale (on cl)
amazing how everyone who is selling these knows how many were built, but there were never any records that show the numbers that I have heard of or seen proof of. I will say one thing, there were very few and even fewer remaining.
BTW, there is an OLD guy near me that has a 62 or 63 crew, he says he is going to fix it up some day and has been offered $4k for it as it sits, which is on blocks, no wheels, no motor and pretty rusty to boot.

Re: 1961 chevy crew cab for sale (on cl)
there were quite a few put out there ( accumulation of all the models or styles over the 6 year period). just that you never got to see them. there were lots that more than likely never seen pavement, eg; logging , off road construction-hydro etc. anywhere where they had to transport workers into the job everyday.
lot of these guys are just putting up hearsay nbrs to say that it is "rare" in order to sell( to try and drive up the value) ron |

I think this might be where they're getting their numbers from:
"Orville Metal Specialty Company and the Crown Company. Crown produced 500 crew cabs a year for Ford, Chevrolet and GMC pickups. Approximately 100-125 were Chevrolets." Posted via Mobile Device |
