When I bought this truck, the previous owner had changed the factory powerglide to a th350 out of a 71 El Camino, I was 17 when I bought it and did'nt know to much about auto repair, I have looked at the mounting and it is a joke! The transmission is just sitting on the crossmember, not bolted to it, and the crossmember is not bolted to the frame, no wonder I felt a shimmy rocking sensation at red lights, must have been the tranny shifting around. So, I gues I just need to drill new holes in the frame, and bolt it down, and get a new mount, it lookes trashed.

a crossmember form a 70-81 camaro or a 68-79 nova will work perfectly just match up the bolt holes already in the frame rails(should be 2 sets)

I do happen to have a junk 81 Z28 Camaro, have to try the crossmember off of it, I wonder if the front suspension pieces could be used off of it as well.
