WTB- radio section of dash
I am looking for a section of dash with the radio portion intact. I would like to put a factory stereo back in my truck, which has been cut out for a CD player. Hopefully someone close to DFW has one.

Re: WTB- radio section of dash
Wanting to keep it era correct? Or have you considered cutting the area larger for a 1.5 factory radio? Granted then you'd have to modify a bezel as well so I guess that's a catch 22.
Sold the last dash chunk I had a few weeks ago for $10 or I'd hook you up. I'll dig again just to be sure though.

Re: WTB- radio section of dash
Going 8 track. It doesn't work, but I am having issued cutting up my new repop dash bezel. The stereo will be my ipod going straight to the amp, since that is what I listen to 98% of the time. I know you have a treasure trove of radios, if you had a rear brace and a set of early black knobs I would gladly buy those too.

Re: WTB- radio section of dash
I bet when you find someone with the dash chunk they'll have it all for you. If not, I'm sure I can wrangle up a bracket and knobs for you and toss them in an envelope.
You after the early 70's black knobs (like on my Am radio I pictured) or the chrome knobs they put on the AM/FM and up radios?

Re: WTB- radio section of dash
Randy, I am looking for the black ones. Let me know what you want for them, and I can paypal it to you. I really appreciate it.
I am bidding on a era correct aftermarket tape player on Ebay. I guess we will see what the next couple of days bring. If that falls through, I cleaned up one of my 8 track players this weekend. Either one will just be a dash filler, with some kind of cool 70's type tape in it.

Re: WTB- radio section of dash
If you end up needing mine Jon, you just tell me and I'll drop them in the mail. Pay it forward type thing, what comes around goes around. Those knobs and bracket are not worth me figuring out how to accept money via paypal.
It would all fit real easy in a padded envelope, so shipping would not even be but a buck or something at most I'd think. Sounds like trout might have the hook up for you though on everything. I'm having a killer time finding my next one to dismantle. I'm about to switch it up to 88-98 I think and see how that goes for me. Lots of them for sale cheap around me.

Re: WTB- radio section of dash
Thanks for the offers RJ and Randy. If I don't win the radio on Ebay, I will definitely hit you guys both up.
I have a hard time getting too excited about the 88-98 trucks. I guess that's how everyone was about squarebodies for the longest time, though. The only ones I have had to flip I lost my hat on.
