66 g10 panel 4x4??
ran across this ad:
one of a kind for '66. in 67 chev started making four wheel drive panels that became the suburban. was a custom order for a forestry officer in kamloops. only one of its kind seen anywhere. original 292 straight six and the four speed. body has been done, interior still needing it. new brakes and ujoints. four wheel works well. white in colour and all windows all the way around. rear sliding windowa and the split rear door. 60 series rally tires at the moment but fits 33" with no fender rub. want to see her restored to her glory, looking for a new home!!!! trades and offers considered i'm trying to get a few pictures sent over, to it's shape. has anyone seen one like this? any pictures someone can post? worth looking into? thanks |

Re: 66 g10 panel 4x4??
I used to have an original '63 K10 Suburban with the 292 and SM420 4 speed. There are pics of a few 4x4 panels and Suburbans in the '4x4's Gone Wild' thread.

Re: 66 g10 panel 4x4??
unless you have a typo, a "G" series van would look like this in 66... probably pretty rare as a 4x4, but I found some pics and a couple threads on van forums with a quick google search...

Not a panel, but a G series van anyway. Factory 4x4?

Re: 66 g10 panel 4x4??
I can remember that at one point in time it was the thing to covert these and later vans into 4 x 4s

Wouldn't windows all the way round and rear sliders make it a sub or carryall, not a panel?
