Sensor
I have a sensor right above the oil filter without a wire attached to it, anyone knows what it's for? It's an 80's block.

Re: Sensor
In the oil port? lots of people use that one for aftermarket oil gauges (low-presure warning light, electric fuel cut-off switch etc) when the stock port at the back of the intake is occupied by the stock sender.

Re: Sensor
I'm not to sure what you mean by the "oil port" it look to me to be directly above the oil filter in the block. Is that the oil port? Would it register low oil if the truck had a low oil light warning light?

Re: Sensor
If it has two prongs on it.....Its a electric choke switch, Its purpose was to power the choke only with the engine running.
