engine decode

pulled this engine out of my 72 blazer, trying to see if it was original or what it came out of. engine id on front passenger side of motor. 18J173455 TIII5HF. PLEASE HELP?

The first number is a partial VIN. The second isn't making a lot of sense. Atr you sure its clear? The T would indicate that it was built in Tonawanda. You can find the casting number on the back, drivers side of the block just behind the cylinder head. The date code is back there too.

those are the numbers on it, i looked up the numbers on the back and it was very generic gave about 10 different setups it could have came in

Putting those numbers with the casting and date marks off the back of the block would help more, because the numbers here dont entirely make sense, but I'm thinking this is likely a 275hp 350 built 11/15/68 for a 69 chevelle, nova, or camaro. Maybe pull a valve cover and check the head casting numbers to really nail it down.
