5.3 idle issues
My truck starts easy but dies when cold. As long as you keep your foot on the throttle until it warms up it runs fine (doesn't miss) but will not idle by itself. Once it gets up above about 130 degrees it idles fine. Anyone else have this issue before?

Re: 5.3 idle issues
Take a hard look at your intake gaskets. These motors are notorious for the O ring seals not sealing until warm. As long as its not throwing codes it's easy to assume it's just a vacuum leak. You could try spraying carb cleaner at the base of the intake to see if the idle smooths out. If it is the gaskets they are super easy to change out.

Thanks. I'll try that.
