Fittings to connect vette regulator to braided line
I am running an 02' LS1 with the returnless rail and thus plan to use the Vette style regulator. I ordered a tank from Boyd's today with an in tank pump. I plan on running all stainless braided lines and AN fittings. I have the line, various fittings (I'll no doubt need more), and fuel rail fitting.
My question is, how do I connect the braided line to the regulator? There seems to be barb style fittings on it from the pictures on summit. I am all new to this braided/fitting stuff so please excuse the dumb question Thank you |

Re: Fittings to connect vette regulator to braided line
You need three fittings. There are two push on style for the inlet and return (644123, 644113 search summit) There is a 3/8 to AN6 and a 5/16 to AN6. The outlet side to the engine is 640940. Lots of guys have found ways to use repair parts for the local auto parts stores in The "HELP" section.

Re: Fittings to connect vette regulator to braided line
i hate shopping online. i went to a local speed shop and they had everything in stock. even if it cost a little more, it was worth it to me to get the right thing the first time and be able to talk to some one person to person. this is how mine is set up
from tank #6 pipe to #6 AN. then i ran an AN 90 deg angle AN from there I hook to the braided line with a (#6 Straight AQP HOSE FTG) that is Aeroquip part # FCM1012. this is a screw together fiting that will attach to the hose and cross it back to the AN Nut. on the other end of that hose you will use the same FCM 1012 to go back to AN and then use a (Russel 640850) this is a quick connect from the filter 3/8 inlet back to AN. the return to tank is (Russel 640860) that is a 5/16 quick connect back to AN6. Here is the list off of my receipt. Aeroquip parts FCM1012 #6 STRAIGHT AN6-HOSE QTY 6 FCM2005 #6 PIPE TO #6 AN QTY 2 FCM4032 #6 AN 90 DEG ELBOQ QTY 2 RUSSEL FITTINGS 640850 #6 AN TO GM QUICK CONNECT QTY 2 (FOR FUEL RAIL AND INLET TO FILTER 3/8") 640860 #6 AN TO GM QUICK CONNECT QTY 1 (FOR RETURN FROM FILTER 5/16") 640940 #6 AN MALE TO OUTLET OF FILTER QTY 1 OTHER THAN THAT IT IS ALL HOSE AND THE QTY OF HOSE IS GOING TO DEPEND ON WHERE YOU PLACE THE FILTER |
