82 Arizona Build
Well after having nothing but bad luck with this truck, and things finally looking good i think its time for a build thread. 82 short bed, the guy i got it from said the 350 was just "rebuilt" after dumping around 1200 into fixing a bunch of problems with the motor i finally said its time for a LS motor. well here it is.
the rest of the engine bay....inner fenders, inner wheel wells radiator core and firewall are all getting painted white tomorrow more pictures to come. |

Re: 82 Arizona Build
i got my harness and computer from foxlinders in arizona, he runs the engine with all the customer parts. He re-works the factory harness and makes it a three wire hook up.

Re: 82 Arizona Build
I dropped my trans pan to put new fluid in, when putting new gasket on should I just use the gasket or sealant also?

Re: 82 Arizona Build
I would make sure its a stock shackle first, then if it is, replace it with a 2" shackle. You'll need to check your pinion angle afterwards.

Re: 82 Arizona Build
need a little help with sitting the motor in place.
i almost had the motor in today, but i think my stock mounts are mounted to low. i noticed the mounts were on the lower mounting holes, which i thought was odd. i figured to keep it that way since that how it was since i got it. well now i think im having a clearance issue. on a stock truck were do the motor mounts bolt up, the top holes or bottom holes?? |

Re: 82 Arizona Build
I got the motor in, everything in place. working on everything before i finish it up so i don't regret not doing something later on down the road. got my fuel pump in the mail today i haven't posted updates in a while so here are some pictures.
getting close to starting it up, getting super stoked! |
