Any candy apple red trucks out there?

You always hear the term candy Apple red but does anyone have a square wearing the color? Thinking if painting my truck... Thanks!

Candy is a real beyotch to paint. More painters screw up with it than get it right. It looks like a million bucks when done right but more like a sick tiger stripe when done wrong, especially in the sun.
Pearl is cool, you get some of the depth but not the bling of candy.

Thanks for the info. Then I probably shouldn't try to spray it myself

It's probably pretty expensive to get sprayed too I'm guessing... My truck needs very very little body work so maybe that will cut down on cost.

I would like to see some pictures to help me make up my mind...

My dads 66 truck was Candy apple red at one time and so was my grandpaws 55 chevy

I'm wondering if it will look good with candy Apple rallies with Chrome beauty rings and center caps....? What do yall think?

I painted a corvette years ago when candy was only available from House of Colors , it was lacquer . I was 8 hours putting all that paint on there...lol . Paint nowadays has come a long way , just go to your local dealership and pick a pearl from a newer car and put that on it.
